I live in the world of grandbabies. My world revolves around my babies. I am so blessed that 3 of the grandbabies (oh ya and their parents too ..lol) live on the opposite end of our house. They give Nana a reason to get out of bed in the morning! My other grandbabies come and visit too, and Nana loves having them visit too! Everyone that said grandbabies are more fun than your own children were right. All this time I thought they were crazy, until I got my first grandbaby. I am still in awe over how much you can love a child that you didn't give birth to. Of course I love my daughters too, but not near as much as my grandbabies! lol Nana loves you Kaylee, Allan, Clayton, Isabel, and Keegan!

Sesame Street Diaper Cake for My Daughter's Baby Shower

I made this cake for the centerpiece of my daughter's baby shower.  I think it's the most packed one I've ever made!  Every item attached is Sesame Street too!  LOL  I also included a pic of her little loves notes to Kaylee Book I made for everyone to write a note to her!

My baby girl is moving home...Yippee!

We just found out that our daughter & Eric will be moving home this weekend!  I'm so excited!  My first granddaughter is due to arrive in December and I'm so excited they will be living with us!  Eric was able to transfer to a campus closer to our house at the end of this semester so they would have lots of family and friends around if they need any help with little Kaylee Dawn.  I can't wait....is it Friday yet?

a productive weekend....finally!

I managed to complete one spot in a SCS swap and have the other spot partially done but haven't uploaded any new pics to my gallery on SCS for a while!  It has been a while since I've had enough time to actually feel I've made a productive dent in my scrapping stack of to dos!  I'm trying to get all my swaps done so I can work on my daughter's baby shower favors and I think by next weekend I'll be able to start working on them!  WooHoo!  Have a great week everyone!

..just a note

I haven't had much time to create and play in my craft room lately, so that's why I haven't posted anything new.  My daughter and I have worked on her baby shower invitations when she is home visiting on the weekends, but that has been the extent of my crafting, except for a bit of card candy.  With winter coming faster than we wish, there are so many things that still need done on the farm.  Second crop hay will soon be ready to mow down and bale, and we still have a small patch of 1st crop Mother Nature has not allowed us to bale yet.  My mother in law is settling into her new house pretty well, but there are still things to move and finish before winter there as well.  Wouldn't it be nice if the work week was only two days and the weekend was five.....oh, a girl can dream!

Other half of my 2 page layout...

More Wedding Pages Completed! Woo Hoo!

This is another two page layout I just finished in the nick of time to get entered in practical scrappers "use the word one" and the "use only one embellishment" challenge.  Of course I had to use some shiny stuff!  LOL  I chose my Stampendous silver Diamond Dots for just a hint of shine for this layout.  I used wedding photos from a different wedding to lay onto the layout because it didn't have enough zing with out photos and my boss' wedding isn't until the end of the month.  The cream and two blues paper combo just doesn't "jump out" without some shine and color to me.  However, the actual flowers for the wedding in this color combo are gorgeous together!

Shiny, Shiny, Shiny...Practical Scrappers Challenge...

So manybe some of my creativity is returning...it's about time!  LOL  When I saw the Practical Scrappers Sketch Friday Challenge the first thing I thought of was the "Sweet Girl" tag and butterflies I cut out when I had my friend's graphically speaking cartridge - Thanks Tilly! I attempted to go to bed but that darn tag just kept calling me!  So back to the craft room it was....hours later emerges this page that after completion I realize actually fits 2 challenges - Bonus!  It actually uses 3 of my favorite products...paper, shiny things, and pop dots!  This is my first page made special for my first grandbaby "Kaylee Dawn" due to arrive 12/8/10.  Of course, I didn't attach her name to the page yet...just in case Mommy & Daddy change her name at the last minute.  Thanks for reading and visiting my blog!

Look Whoos Walking

This layout was also made while making a swap.  It's perfect for Babies first steps and to enter in the Practical Scrappers Blog Challenge for a page with only 1 picture!

Tubby Time for the Bunnies

Well, I don't really know if seahorses and fishies go with bunnies that are getting a bath, but what really does? Only a couple of country girls would dream up the idea of bathing their pet bunnies before the fair!  How could I resist taking pictures?  Of course you can see that I am very far behind on my scrapping since my youngest daughter is now 18!  I put this page together with a set I made when I was working on a swap.  Don't ya just love the glittery creatures? This layout will be entered in the practical scrappers blog for a water layout.

Critter Challenge #25

I haven't participated in a sketch challenge for a long time!  Since I am making a photo album for my boss for her wedding I thought I might just play along, and I might add, am very happy with my page!  Thanks for posting the challenge Crafty Critters!

My first post on my new blog!

Well, I have finally done it!  I have created a blog!  I have no idea if I have done it correctly or not but hey - you don't know til you try right?  I'm not exactly sure why I created a blog except a lot of my friends on Splitcoast have them so I thought - what the heck - why not!  LOL
